Tribute to / Hommage à Penny Lang

Celebrating Montréal’s Queen of Folk – June 15, 2017

Honoring the legacy of Penny Lang who passed away on July 31, 2016, Famgroup and Folk Fest sur le Canal produced an event bringing together the folk community of Montréal and beyond. This special evening at the Maison de la Culture Marie Uguay saw fellow musicians, collaborators, friends and family members of Penny performing her songs and sharing anecdotes from her life.

We would like to thank all the artists involved: Connie Kaldor and the Campagne family, Bobby Dove, Eve Goldberg, Michael Jerome Browne, Dana Whittle and Béa & Co, The Skudfux (Penny’s grandson’s band), Bill Garrett, Sue Lothrop and Roma Baran, Jason Lang (Penny’s son), Annabelle Chvostek, Durham County Poets who were also the house band and the MC Penny Rose.
