Come see Christine Jensen Jazz Orchestra at the Jazzahead’s Overseas Night on Friday, April 25th in Halle 2 at 8:00 PM An 18-piece jazz ensemble led by composer, conductor and soprano-saxophonist Christine Jensen.

Christine is a two-time Juno Award-winning composer and soprano-saxophonist, including the 2014 Juno Award for Contemporary Jazz Album of the Year. Her latest release, Habitat (2013, Justin Time Records), was recently awarded 5***** Stars in Downbeat Magazine. The album has received rave reviews from Jazzman/Jazzmag, Downbeat Magazine and La Presse, to name a few. She ranks among the best jazz composers, leaders and performers in Canada, indeed in North America as the recent Downbeat Critics’ Polls would attest: she was named the Critics’ Poll Rising Star in the categories of Big Band, Composer, and Soprano Sax.
